The Moon origins

Before scientists received the samples of the Moon soil, they didn't know when and how the Moon appeared. There were three main theories.

- The Moon and Earth formed simultaneously from the gas and dust cloud.

- The Moon was formed in the result of collision of the earth with another object.

- The Moon was formed in another place of the space and was conquered by the Earth with the help of its gravity.

But after scientists got the new information about its structure the theory about Great Collision appeared. Earth collided with a huge space object (similar to Mars or even bigger) and the Moon was formed from the knocked out substance.

But not all details of this theory were worked up. But this theory is the most spread in the modern science nowadays.

The juridical status of the Moon has become an important problem. So, special Authorities were created to regulate it. The majority of juridical problems of explore of the Moon are allowed by the pact on the principles of Government activity on exploration and usage of the space including the Moon and other space objects.

The Moon keeps so many mysteries. That is why the investigation of the Moon is the problem of great importance even nowadays. And astronauts from all parts of the world dream to land the Moon and to look at earth from it.
